Overview
Socratics is organized around Projects, folders that each represent a different set of documents that can be queried or used as source material for AI-generated content. Select Projects
from the left navigation to see all your project folders.
To open a project select the folder icon on the right side of the row.
Create New Project
To create a new project, select Create Project
. The form has the following fields:
- Project Name: This is the name that will appear throughout the Socratics interface including in the Project Details header, the “breadcrumb”, inside text in the project Chat, etc. It can be a project codename (example: Project Zeta) or it could be the same as the Company Name. This is a required field.
- Company Name: This is the name used for querying the AI. Depending on the company, the AI models used in Socratics may or may not have existing knowledge of the company. However, it’s best to use the most complete name possible to provide sufficient context (ex: Acme Manufacturing Inc.) This is a required field.
- Company URL: This is the company’s primary website landing page. This information is used to scrape the top website pages and add them to the Project > Documents to use as source material for AI-generated content. This is a required field.
- Notes: User’s may add additional context about their project in this field. This field is optional and is not used inside AI prompts. It is purely for the user’s reference.
Once the project information has been entered select Save
.
